Susan Burns is a Skoll Awardee and Director of Finance for Change, a project of Global Footprint Network. As co-founder and CEO of Global Footprint Network, she built the organization into one of the leading scientific organizations in the world addressing global ecological limits. She is also a philanthropic advisor with Unleashing Generosity, helping donors increase their impact and give joyfully.
Prior to launching Global Footprint Network, Susan founded the pioneering sustainability consulting firm Natural Strategies, advising such companies as Mitsubishi Electric and Lowes. Susan serves on the Board of the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir (OIGC) where she is a vocalist. She is also a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for foster children, a member of the Social Justice Ministry of Imani Community Church in Oakland, and a member of the Interfaith Coalition for Justice in Our Jails.
