Biography

Noora Health is a non-profit organization that supports family caregivers and patients across 400+ health facilities in India, Bangladesh, and Indonesia. Noora Health supports health systems to deliver high-quality training for post-surgical, post-delivery, and general care, then follows up with families at home using mobile messaging technologies. To date, Noora Health's programs have reached nearly 3 million patients and caregivers. Noora Health was named a 2022 TED Audacious Project grantee and recipient of the 2022 Skoll Award for Social Innovation.

Prior to Noora Health, Shahed focused on improving healthcare for incarcerated populations in the U.S. and on developing low-cost technologies for better diagnostics in low- and middle-income settings. He holds a BS in Biomedical Engineering and MHS in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University and an MD from Stanford University. He is an Associate Faculty at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
