Biography

Dr. Krishna Jafa is Medic's CEO. She leads the organization to design deliver, and support world-class, open-source software for community health workers to enable their delivery of quality, timely, and equitable care, and to serve as the technical steward of the Community Health Toolkit. Krishna has held key leadership roles at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and PSI. A physician, epidemiologist, and public health executive, Krishna brings deep expertise in health systems strengthening, digital health innovation, and building and steering global partnerships and teams toward achieving universal health care. Krishna is a deeply committed advocate for women’s and girls’ empowerment, health, and reproductive rights. She holds a Medical degree from Rajasthan University (India), an MPH from Harvard University (USA), and is an alumna of the CDC’s Epidemic Intelligence Service. Krishna serves on Last Mile Health's Advisory Council and the Board of Washington Institute of Coagulation.
