I am a South African national with 26 years of working experience in the public health field – in South Africa, Southern and Western African regions as well as internationally (based in Switzerland working in East Asia & Pacific). My previous roles and functions ranged from being a Technical Expert to being a Manager and recently performing Senior and Executive Leadership roles. I have worked for the Governments of South Africa and Sierra Leone; Local, Regional and International NGOs; the United Nations (ILO, UNODC and UNFPA); Catholic Relief Services; and the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis & Malaria. She has vast experience in Health Systems Strengthening, Policy Advocacy, Public Health Emergencies as well as Accountability for Impact. Claudia Shilumani is currently the Vice President for Partnerships & Impact at VillageReach – an international NGO implementing programs in multiple African countries.
