Biography
Claire is an investor and entrepreneur focused on innovating solutions to foundational challenges in education, digital access and sustainability in emerging markets. She founded and was CEO of M-Shule in Kenya, a personalised knowledge-building platform that combines artificial intelligence with channels like SMS to improve opportunities for low-income communities. Prior to launching M-Shule in 2017, Claire spent 4 years in affordable private schools in India and Kenya. Now Claire is based in London working in early-stage venture capital with a focus on edtech, climate, health, and enterprise software with an interest in Sub-Saharan Africa. Originally from Upstate New York, she complated her MBA at Said Business School, University of Oxford as a Skoll Scholar in 2022 and graduated with a bachelors degree in Psychology and French from Georgetown University.
