Beadie Finzi is one of the founding directors of Doc Society, a non profit film foundation with team based in Europe, East Africa, the Americas and Australia. For 18 years we have been fiercely championing and working to resource and protect the community of global, independent filmmakers.In addition to grant making for artists and journalists and supporting their creative process, we provide legal and moral support. We help them develop impact strategies and connect them with experts and allies across civil society. Imagining new models to strengthen independent voices, to reach underserved audiences and hold public space for urgent conversations. We are advocates of, and experts in, narrative shift strategy. Exploring the full potential of storytelling alongside traditional advocacy and campaigning in helping build power and transform societies over time.
