Áurea Carolina is a Brazilian activist whose background is in the struggles of women, anti-racism, youth, traditional peoples and communities, and peripheral populations. She is currently ED of Nossas, a civil society organization that promotes democratic and solidarity activism in Brazil. She has been a city councilwoman and a federal deputy, with an outstanding performance in the defense of cultural rights and in the fight against predatory mining.
