Biography

Amanda Renteria is the CEO of Code for America (CfA), a non-profit that helped launch the civic tech ecosystem by partnering with organizations to leverage technology to create a ‘government that works for everyone’. In 2021, CfA was recognized for their mobile-first tax credit portal to combat child poverty. In 2022, CfA was selected as an Audacious Project and awarded $100 million to improve state safety net systems. Amanda is a paid contributor to the BBC and ABC News on U.S. policy/political matters and serves on the President’s Commission on Hispanic Affairs. Before CfA, Amanda served as the COO for one of the largest Justice Departments in the U.S., the National Political Director for Secretary Clinton in the 2016 U.S. Presidential Campaign, and a U.S. Senate Chief of Staff (COS) where she became the first Latina COS in its history. Amanda is the proud daughter of former farmworkers and an immigrant father. She holds degrees from Stanford University and Harvard Business School.
