Diana has spent most of her professional life in leadership roles collaborating with partners to improve life for individuals, families and communities. During her tenure as CEO, Feeding America, the largest hunger relief organization in the U.S., in partnership with the network of 200 foodbanks, provided almost 5 billion meals to 46 million Americans. As President and CEO of Independent Sector, the forum of local, national and global foundations, nonprofits, corporations and individuals working to improve the world, for twelve years Diana served as the voice of the charitable sector in the U.S.. As Executive Director of the Panel on the Nonprofit Sector, Diana and her team worked actively with thousands of organizations across the U.S. to develop a common commitment to principles of good governance and ethical practice for the charitable and philanthropic sector.
As Vice President for Public Policy and head of the Washington Action Office for Jewish Federations of North America Diana worked with domestic and international partners on federal public policy designed to help vulnerable populations. Throughout her career, Diana worked closely with Members of Congress, the White House and the administration helping to shape legislation, and policies intended to empower individuals and communities.
Earlier in her career, as CEO of a domestic violence agency Diana developed the first program of its kind to work with the victims of domestic violence as well as their abusers. She was frequently called upon as an expert witness in criminal cases where perpetrators potentially were facing the death penalty.
Diana currently serves as consultant to individuals, organizations, foundations and philanthropists focused on organization development, advocacy, strategy advancement, coalition building as well as leadership and board development. She has also served as co-founder/co-CEO of a B CORP self mode start up
