Vishal manages Portfolio Services at Dasra, providing capacity building support to portfolio organizations, setting them on a trajectory for rapid growth and sector leadership. He jointly manages a portfolio of 24 organizations spanning several sectors: reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health (RMNCH+A); primary education; sports for development; domestic violence; and anti-sex trafficking. Over the past 4.5 years, Vishal has worked closely with pioneering organizations like Mann Deshi, SNEHA, Sarathi Development Foundation, Naz Trust, Aangan Trust and ARMMAN. His support has focused on the areas of business planning and strategy, fundraising, organizational structure and human resources, impact assessment and reporting, and finance and budgeting.
Prior to joining Dasra, Vishal worked for 4 years under the Antitrust Competition Economics division at Charles River Associates, Boston, where he performed economic analyses for mergers and acquisitions and antitrust lawsuits. Vishal holds a BA in Economics with Honors from Trinity College, Hartford, CT, where he also co-captained the Men’s Squash Team (US inter-collegiate national champions).
