Lucien Chan

Principal, Skoll Foundation

Lucien is a Principal at the Skoll Foundation, where he identifies and advises Skoll Award Social Entrepreneurs on their path to creating lasting social and environmental change.

Lucien began his career in management consulting before transitioning to Gap Inc. where he spent over twelve years. After initially advising Old Navy executives on strategy, Lucien coupled his business and consulting skills with his passion for community to join the Gap Foundation. Lucien held a variety of roles over a decade at Gap Foundation, including overseeing the organization’s global grant portfolio, leading strategic planning and launching the Gap Inc. Leadership Initiative, a capacity building program for nonprofit leaders. Most recently, Lucien focused on helping to launch and expand the Gap Inc. P.A.C.E. Program, an innovative women’s economic empowerment program reaching over 30K women in twelve developing countries.

A Bay Area native, Lucien received a B.A. in Business Administration from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School. In spite of having two high-energy young boys at home, his penchant for travel and love of local foods perpetually lead him to dreaming of his next adventure.
