I am a producer for the BBC. I make programmes with an emphasis on the environment and the countryside but also music and culture. At the heart of all the programmes I make are the people I meet and the stories I am privileged to hear.
Solutions based journalism is becoming a popular phrase but I believe this has always been at the heart of what we do, especially on 'costing the earth'. This is what keeps me inspired (and dragged me away from a far more glamorous role in music radio!). Not many people get the chance to investigate the planets biggest challenges, shine a light on the potential solutions and meet the often very real and inspiring people at the coalface. The result is then broadcast on BBC Radio 4 and BBC World Service and we hope the best have impact far beyond.
